EPICOH Mid-Career Award

The EPICOH Management Committee solicits nominations for the EPICOH Mid-Career Award for exceptional contribution to the practice of occupational epidemiology.  This contribution might be a body of work, or a singular achievement in occupational epidemiologic research, applications of epidemiology to promote occupational health, or methodologic advances.   The award for 2025 will be presented at the 2025 EPICOH Annual Conference in October 6-9, 2025. The recipient will be invited to present a lecture at the conference. Registration fees will be waived.

Eligibility
Eligible recipients are scientists with more than 5 years, but fewer than 20 years since their terminal degree, ideally holding an independent academic, research or professional position.
EPICOH membership in good standing is required.

Nominations
Any member of EPICOH may make nominations. A single nomination document in PDF should be prepared containing the following:

  1. A cover letter from the primary nominator up to two pages in length, that describes the major contributions of the nominee to the science of occupational epidemiology and her/his impact on the field and on public health policy.
  2. A brief curriculum vitae or biographical sketch of the nominee (up to three pages).
  3. Letters, up to two pages in length, supporting the nomination, from two others familiar with the contributions of the nominee. These support letters should describe in specific terms how the nominee meets the award criteria

Nominations should be sent by e-mail to the EPICOH Secretary Sara De Matteis at sara.dematteis@unimi.it  with “EPICOH Mid-Career Award Nomination” appearing in the subject line. The deadline for submitting nominations for the 2025 EPICOH Award is June 16, 2025.
