Mini-symposia

In addition to the keynotes, the conference program will feature among others mini-symposia. Mini-symposia are dedicated to talks and panel discussions from researchers covering a specialized topic in occupational epidemiology. Mini-symposia sessions should have no less than 3 speakers, and no more than can be successfully managed in the 60 or 90-minute session time allotted. We recommend 15 minutes of presentation time for each speaker broken down into 10 minutes of talk-time and a five-minute question and answer period from attendees.

Submission guideline

Your proposal should be submitted as a PDF file to include the following:
  • Title: provide a title for your mini-symposium
  • Summary: provide a brief description of no more than 200 words that will allow conference attendees to understand the topic and the focus
  • Rationale: please explain why the topic is novel, why it is relevant to the EPICOH community, and how it fits within the theme of this conference
  • Duration: make sure to indicate if it is a 60 or 90-minute session
  • Contact information for proposer(s): include name, affiliation, and email address
  • Speaker info: include the title of each speaker’s talk, their full name, affiliation & email address
  • File Format: Adobe PDF (.pdf)
  • Allowed File Size: 10 MB
  • All applications must be written in English.

Submission deadline

Send your proposal 8 January 2025 at the latest to the organizing committee via epicoh-2025@uu.nl. Applicants will be informed by email 17 January at the latest. Abstracts on the individual presentations within the mini-symposium should be submitted during the standard abstract submission (opening of abstract submission will be second half of January 2025).
