International Trains

Utrecht Central Station is the largest train station in the Netherlands,  and the most important railroad junction in the country. All Dutch railroad lines have Utrecht as their central point, so the station has many thousands of travelers every day.

In addition, the following international trains depart and arrive in or close to Utrecht Centraal:

  • TGV (Brussels, Paris, Lyon, Strasbourg, Bordeaux)
  • City Night Line (several cities in Europe)
  • Intercity Antwerp/Brussels
  • ICE International (Germany and Switzerland)
  • Eurostar (London/Paris)
  • Intercity Berlin
  • Nightjet (München, Wenen, Zürich, Basel & Innsbruck)

Be sure to check out if traveling by train from your location is achievable to lower the environmental impact of your travel.

Traveling Overseas

We understand that traveling by train is not achievable from all locations. Fortunately there is a good train connection between Schiphol airport and Utrecht Central station with travel options every 15 minutes.

Plan your train ride using the NS travel planner.

Hotels

Your stay in a hotel is NOT included in your ticket. Make sure you book a hotel or accommodation of your liking in advance. Don’t know where to start? This website provides you with an overview of the available options:

Public Transport

The easiest way to get to the conference is by bike or public transport. Jaarbeurs Media Plaza is located at just five minutes walking distance from Utrecht Central station.

When traveling by train, tram or bus you can check in and out using your bank card, it is really easy! Don’t forget to check out when you leave though. For planning your trips you can use the following websites:

Bike rental

Did you know you are visiting the nicest bikingcity in the Netherlands? In Utrecht you can find the first cycle path of the Netherlands (Maliebaan) and the longest rainbow cycling path of the world.

Renting a bike allows you to explore the city in style. These are the bike rental shops we would recommend to you.

Bike parking

You can park your bike at one of the many bike storage facilities near the station. The Fietsenstalling Jaarbeursplein is closest to the venue. This bicycle storage is open 24/7 and allows you to store your bike for free for the first 24 hours (check in with OV card or debit card). Be aware, this is the largest bicycle storage of the world! With the 12.500 bike parking spots it is very easy to forget where you parked your bike. Pro-tip: take a picture of the lane you parked your bike in, you will thank yourself later.
